Your pension

Key information about your pension

We’re living and working longer than ever before and looking forward to a longer retirement.  Whether your retirement is still a way off, or just round the corner, planning ahead will help make sure you can fully enjoy life after work.

Cooper Pensions Limited is the Trustee for the Cooper Consolidated Pension Plan, Willsher and Quick Pension Scheme, MTL Instruments Group Pension Scheme and JSB Electrical Staff Pension Scheme. The schemes provide retirement benefits to the members.

This website is managed by the Trustee of the schemes. Its purpose is to host useful information and documents in relation to the schemes for the benefit of members. For example information about costs and charges included in the money purchase sections of the Willsher and Quick and JSB Pension Schemes and the Statement of Investment Principles.

If you have any questions regarding any of the documents hosted on this site, please contact Barnett Waddingham, the Schemes’ Administrator.

Your pension savings in the money purchase sections of the Wilsher and Quick Pension Scheme and JSB Electrical Staff Pension Schemes are held and invested in investment funds. Each fund is different depending on:

  • Its aims – one fund may concentrate on growing your pension savings, while another may concentrate on protecting the value of your pension savings.
  • Its investment – some funds might choose to invest for long-term growth, while others might aim for stability over the short-term.

The Trustee monitors the Schemes’ funds to ensure they are suitable for the membership. Part of this role includes having to make available to members details of the on-going charges incurred by members in investing in each fund. These details can be found in the Chair’s Statements on the Document Library.

The Trustee has ultimate responsibility for the investment of the Schemes’ assets and is required, under legislation, to prepare and review regularly a Statement of Investment Principles for each scheme. These Statements, which can be viewed in the Document Library, set out the principles governing decisions about the investment of Schemes’ assets.
